This is our latest book and was an absolute joy to write. We especially love the audiobook; if that’s your thing, you should check it out. Although then you miss out on the Jackass quiz, which is only found in the paper book. Jackass is also the first book of ours that our kids and their friends read and enjoyed, making us feel pretty cool.
A Jackass is a purveyor of pet peeves. We aren’t talking about the real evil stuff, just the day-to-day annoyances we all face (and cause) that rob us of our focus, slow us down, and generally make all our lives needlessly harder. We find Jackasses at work, at home, on the road, at the gym, school, and even in the wild, just wandering around looking for someone to cut off or tell to smile.
If you decide to get this book, you will laugh, you may feel seen or called out, and you will be surprised by the heart you find inside.
Fun fact: The title, “The Jackass Whisperer,” came from Scott's quote, “Ignore the haters, you’re not the Jackass Whisperer,” which was used by the wonderful Brene Brown in her book Daring Greatly.
